Fun Fact

KI's Same Gyal Twice sampled the percussion and melodic elements of the bollywood song "Jab Gori Ne". The song was sung by Abhijeet and Alka Yagnik. Jab Gori Ne came from soundtrack of the 2000 film Bulandi which starred Anil Kapoor,Rajinikanth,Rekha and mih home gyurl Raveena Tandon. Even though the film got a mere passing grade from critics. They can take credit in have played an important role in Chutney Soca Monarch 2016. What are your views on sampling old bollywood songs and putting them in chutney music. Leave a comment below Personally, I am for it. Sampling is an age old music production technique used in almost all music genres, particularly Hip Hop. So big up Rishi Mahato of Maha Productions. Listen to Jab Gor Ne and see if you can spot the similarities.
